Join Oregon Art Beat as we take a look at the life of William Stafford. A poet, a WWII pacifist, and National Book Award winner, Stafford’s influence is felt by everyone from Garrison Keillor, to Ann Pachett, to the thousands of students he taught over the decades as an English professor at Lewis and Clark College.

Through extensive archival stills, footage, and readings by Keillor, Pachett, Salman Rushdie, Robert Krulwich, son Kim Stafford, and Stafford himself, get to know the art, life and legacy of Oregon’s famous poet laureate on the 100th anniversary of his birth.

A video of this Oregon Art Beat special will be available online the day after it airs at http://watch.opb.org/program/oregon-art-beat/
